This limited series of lithographs was created on the occasion of the unveiling of a public sculpture in Modřany, Prague, titled Cukrouš. I wanted to have a keepsake from the journey that the creation of this sculpture has been for me.
I also realized that the motif of a tree–shrub creature has been appearing in my work since around 2010, when I had a dream in which people were migrating to distant places on the backs of tree-animals — beings that embodied entire ecosystems to which these people were deeply and inseparably connected.
That dream, later followed by several animated videos in which this moving tree-being also appeared, has now materialized into a living reality.
