This is a restaurant located in the park. They always let me store my canvases there overnight for safekeeping. They make good tea there. I always used to walk past this restaurant in the snowy atmosphere of winter. This scene, however, is from the summer of 2025.

This past summer, I often came here to draw preparatory sketches from a viewpoint where the café was directly opposite me. I did not draw it from the side, nor from any perspective angle. I drew it as a house from the front, in the sense that one moves from left to right.

I maintained a yellow and grey color scheme. I did not include green, which would dominate these two colors, even though there was greenery on the ground in the foreground. I preserved colors that create a calm impression for this composition. I also used blue on one folded parasol. J. H.
