Alice is standing in a small shop where an old woman (later a sheep) is knitting, but the world suddenly ripples, and Alice is now sitting in a small boat. The sheep continues to knit behind her, and Alice tries to catch the crayfish in the water, which continually elude her. The rules of the surrounding world loosen and change before her eyes.
This new series of paintings is my invitation into a world where reality loses its contours, and different rules of logic and perception begin to apply. I do not strive for a literal illustration of the work, but rather for my own contemporary interpretation of its motifs and atmosphere. I combine expressive painting with the airbrush technique to create multi-layered works of meaning that I leave open to the viewer's interpretation.
This painting appeared at the exhibition Alice Reloaded, which took place in September and October 2025 in the center of Prague at the Via Art Gallery.
