Ride of Kings, 2024
120 x 87 cm
mixed media: acrylic and spray on canvas
The ride of the kings is a folk custom and is usually associated with the feast of Pentecoast. A young boy in folk costume with a white rose in his mouth rides a white decorated horse. The horse is decorated by the boy's mother and it is a great honor for the family. I did not stick to the fact that the folk costume was exactly depicted, as well as the decoration of the horse, it is more about capturing the atmosphere. J. K.
