The lithograph Grandma's Laundry belongs to a series called GARDEN, which was part of my diploma thesis at UMPRUM. I tried to capture the relationship between man and his safe space. I recorded the changes in my grandmother's garden that happened from autumn to the beginning of summer. I tracked small variations in the form of a moved pot in the garden, but also more noticeable changes in the space due to the seasons.
The motif depicts a clothesline on which my grandmother froze a hanging sheet. E. H.
