Meditation under the tree, 2024

She focuses her mind on her breathing and observes all the sensations that arise when she sits under the tree. Meditation helps her better manage anger, clinging and jealousy. With the help of meditation, she gradually builds up good mental habits and there is a change in her behaviour in daily life. If her motivation for meditation is to free herself from the cycle of constantly recurring problems, her mind will also naturally calm down by now and she will achieve these goals.

I have read a few sections of the text in the book "Buddhism for Beginners in Questions and Answers" by Thubten Chodron. Parts of the text have been slightly edited. J. H.
