Artist's profile
Eva Fajčíková (born 1990) is a painter and graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague. Her work focuses on two main themes: figurative art and video game environments.
In her figurative work, she combines elements of existing mythology, folklore, and spirituality to create a hybrid vocabulary that explores the complexity of female figures. The figures are often inspired by fashion magazines, particularly Italian Vogue, of which she is an avid collector.
Her second focus, video game environments, aims to explore archetypal places such as ruins, forests, portals, and so on. Each painting becomes an individual level in a fictional game that the viewer can navigate visually. There is also a computer game available that uses the artist's paintings, completing the circle of digital and analog inspiration.

The 22nd edition of the Art Prague contemporary art fair took place in Prague during the first week of November 2023. It offered works from almost all art disciplines, from painting, drawing, and graphics to sculpture and installation.

The 22nd edition of Art Prague, the leading contemporary art fair in the Czech Republic, will take place in Prague from October 31 to November 5, 2023. The fair will be held in the newly renovated Clam-Gallas Palace, located on the corner of Karlova and Husova Streets.
