Victoria royal is one of the largest water lilies in the world. Its leaves, capable of keeping a seated human child afloat, become the scene of a meeting of two symbolic opposites. The black dog has always been an omen of dark forces, sadness or conflict, but in contrast to it stands the badger, a symbol of determination, resilience and perseverance, under a blossoming bud. D.
